Permitted on the Pitch
Your unit may consist of a single caravan and towing vehicle, or a camper van or small motor home up to 6.0metres overall length. To protect our sloping grass pitches we do not allow caravans towed by motorhomes, campervans or large transit type vans. If in doubt, please call us.
A single awning is permitted within the cost of your pitch. A single small pup tent that is ancillary to the main unit is also permitted for a small additional charge for members of your party but must be without non-breathable groundsheet. This cannot form a separate living/sleeping unit.
Your party may be up to a maximum of 6 occupants. Occupants includes babies, children and dogs. Occupancy beyond this allowance would necessitate additional pitch rental at the full rate
To safeguard our grass pitches for future guests through the season, we discourage the general use of groundsheets. Only breathable groundsheets will be permitted. Where groundsheets are used, we request guests to roll these back during the day when down during periods of dry weather. As responsible campers we rely on your support to keep grass healthy and green.
Motorhomes and Campervans
We accept motorhomes and campervans from mid-May until mid-September subject to suitable ground conditions. To safeguard our sloping grass pitches, we permit a maximum length of 6.0 metres which must be confirmed at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse entry to motorhomes longer than 6.0metres. Please check the length of your vehicle before booking. We ask you to drive slowly and gently when driving on and off your pitch, particularly in wet weather. Please do not drive across other pitches when entering or leaving the site. We reserve the right to charge you for reinstatement of damaged grass caused by a lack of care. Towed cars are not permitted but we welcome bikes.
A spacious mowed pitch with countryside and sea views is provided for your use. Your allocated pitch will be marked on the Welcome Board on your arrival. You are requested to pitch your unit with the pitch marker sign directly behind your unit. Guests are requested to park their tow vehicle alongside and close to their unit to ensure maximum open space between occupied pitches.
Electric Hook Up
Your pitch fee includes the responsible use of a 16amp electric hook up point. All our EHUs have meters to facilitate monitoring and responsible usage. With rapidly increasing energy costs, we have had to introduce a usage cap (currently set at 10 units (KWh) per night) within the pitch fee. This is ample for normal usage by most units. Usage above the prevailing cap amount is charged at cost price (currently 22p/unit inc. VAT but liable to increase). We take a ‘check-in’ meter reading on your arrival and a ‘check-out’ reading on your departure. Please note that for safety reasons, charging of electric vehicles is not permitted. If you wish to charge your electric bike you must inform us beforehand. Given the current uncertainty over energy costs, we reserve the right to change the unit cap and the additional usage unit cost during the season to cover any increased energy supply costs to us.
A fresh-water tap is provided for your use. Please do not wash your unit whilst on site. Our water is metered.
