Heddwch

A peaceful contemporary retreat that is truly accessible

Relax in a contemporary purpose designed accessible holiday home with level access and high-quality adaptations including profiling bed, ceiling track hoist and accessible wetroom

Heddwch

Heddwch means ‘Peace’ in Welsh, and this bungalow is certainly true to its name lying as it does in the quiet rural hamlet of Llwyndafydd, overlooking farmland and just a few minutes from the West Wales coast and hidden coves of Cardigan Bay.
Heddwch has level access into a wide hallway with storage space leading into the light and airy open-plan living/dining/kitchen space.
The living room has comfortable sofas and a large wall-mounted TV.
According to needs, we can provide either a Lento riser/recliner chair or alternatively a Lento Care Chair for guest use.
The newly fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and a wheel-under breakfast bar with free-standing seating. There is a wall mounted oven and microwave, induction hob and pull out kitchen storage for ease of access.
Bi-fold doors open from the living room onto a level terrace/deck with views over the adjoining countryside.
We welcome an assistance dog or one well behaved companion dog to Heddwch.

The cottage has a spacious accessible bedroom with wide single profiling bed and space for a second pull-out single bed.  The bedroom is fitted with push-call buttons and multiple bedside power sockets. An Astor OT200 above bed ceiling hoist leads directly into a luxury en-suite wet-room. There is a wall mounted smart TV

The wet-room has a step-free shower, optional wall-mounted shower seat, drop-down and fixed grab-rails for showering, an Aquatec Tilt-in-Space shower/commode chair, drop-down and fixed grab-rails either side of a Geberit Aquaclean WC, wheel-under washbasin, full-height body drier, and bathroom alarm pull-cords (the shower has both a rainfall shower head and a separate hand-held shower).

Heddwch Cottage has a second bedroom with a super-king (or optional twin beds), and a family bathroom with walk-in shower, peninsular WC, wash basin and shower over bath.

There is ample storage space for equipment within the accessible garage store, along with a pay as you go tumble drier.

Guests can enjoy a private terrace with glass balustrade, outdoor table and chairs, lawned gardens, and panoramic countryside views. The bungalow has private hard-standing parking. EV Charging is available at our farm just 2 minutes drive away.
