Welcome to Llainfran – your escape to Cardigan Bay

Escape urban life to a place where you can relax and enjoy peaceful countryside, spectacular coastline and fresh clean air

Dating back to the 1750's, Llainfran Fach is a short walk from the wooded valleys, hidden smugglers coves and spectacular rugged clifftops overlooking Cardigan Bay

Llainfran House provides bed and breakfast accommodation across four boutique bedrooms, all designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. All our breakfasts are meat free and home-made using fresh local ingredients

Our cottages provide a place for quiet rural relaxation and peaceful sea views, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is also a traditional 18th century Welsh farmhouse awaiting your stay

In summer months, Llainfran provides spacious grass pitches with spectacular sea and sunset views for five touring caravans

If you like hidden coves and secluded beaches, Cwmtydu is a walk down the lane

Llangrannog and the harbour towns of New Quay and Aberaeron are a short drive away making sure that Llainfran has beaches, cafes and restaurants in easy reach

23rd September 2020

So summer is officially over and we've enjoyed having our guests back at Llainfran since the end of lock-down on 11th July.

The CL caravan and motorhome site is also open until the end of October with guests enjoying the 15-20 metre separation between pitches that we're able to provide on our large spacious site. The 'Shower Shed' is also open so campers can now make use of our newly installed toilet and shower facilities.

The Bed and Breakfast has been open in a limited capacity to previously booked rescheduled guests but we hope to reopen our boutique rooms to all guests in 2021.

Our priority remains to keep our people, families and the local community safe and well, and to ensure our guests are not unnecessarily exposed while out and about or travelling to and from West Wales. We ask all our guests to comply with the government guidance in place at the time of their holiday.

To assist guests and to provide peace of mind, we have taken professional cleaning advice and undertaken our own Risk Assessments. The measures put in place safeguard everyone visiting our cottages and on site, including deep cleaning at changeovers and provision of hand soap and sanitiser.

We are approved by Visit Wales as meeting the 'Good to Go' industry standard for the holiday cottages, campsite and the bed and breakfast.

The Covid19 pandemic continues to place a big strain on small businesses like ourselves and on the wider tourist industry of West Wales. As we head into autumn, people are already looking to book for 2021 with the hope and optimism that we will ride out the coming winter and be ready for a well earned break come springtime.

With the increasing need for reliable home-working, our free ultrafast fibre broadband has been extended to ensure everyone at Llainfran now has fast links to the outside world if that's what you need. Just turn up, log on and off you go, whether you're having a business zoom call or engaged with home schooling.

We have also introduced risk-free flexible bookings to allow you to make any new holiday booking with confidence. This means that if you make a booking for any date in 2020 and government advice against travel is imposed, we will allow you to role your booking forward to a date in 2021. All you need to do is contact us and select new dates to suit you and your family. If the new holiday costs more, you can add to the original booking, or we can give you a credit note if you take a shorter/lower value break. We ask that any changes to your booking are made no later than 7 days before your holiday arrival date.

Further regular updates will be posted by us on Instagram and Facebook so please keep in touch!

Meanwhile, take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Jane and Gary ❤️

Llainfran scenic views & wildlife

West Wales and the Cardigan Bay coast has some of the most scenic coastal landscapes within the UK.

There are panoramic sea and coastline views from the Wales Coast Path and the many coves, beaches and headlands that define this lesser known corner of Wales.

For lovers of wildlife and the natural environment, the unspoilt coastline, secluded coves and coastal waters provide home to dolphins, seals, and sea birds. Watching dolphins from the harbour wall in New Quay is a real treat for our guests.

Fabulous week in Tydu View Cottage - super comfortable and so much space! Loved the chickens, alpacas, rheas and sheep... Built some great memories here and hope to come back some time soon. Thank you
