Welcome to Llainfran – your escape to Cardigan Bay

Set within 16 acres of coastal farmland, Llainfran Farm dates back to 1752 and lies amongst rich salt pasture on the coastal slopes above Cardigan Bay.

The farm is just a mile from the rugged coastal clifftops, commanding views out to sea towards Bardsey Island and the Llyn Peninsula.

Stable Cottage and Tydu View Cottage were the original farm stables and granary, both now sensitively converted to spacious and comfortable holiday accommodation. Each cottage enjoys its own uninterrupted views over farmland to the sea beyond.

In summer months, the upper grazing field of Llainfran provides grass pitches with spectacular sea views for five touring caravans.

Llainfran House itself has been totally refurbished and updated to provide a small and select boutique bed and breakfast with accommodation across four bedrooms, all designed with comfort and relaxation in mind.

In the next village of Llwyndafydd, Pendre Farmhouse provides guests with an experience of a traditional 18th century Welsh farmhouse. Retaining much of it's traditional character yet equipped with all the modern conveniences of the 21st century, Pendre Farmhouse ensures a relaxing and peaceful escape and a home from home.

With the sandy cove of Llangrannog and the harbour towns of New Quay and Aberaeron a short drive away, Llainfran has several beaches as well as cafes and restaurants in easy reach. Closer to hand, the small hidden cove of Cwmtydu is a mere twenty minute walk from Llainfran.

Llainfran scenic views & wildlife

West Wales and the Cardigan Bay coast offers some of the most scenic coastal landscapes within the UK. There are panoramic sea and coastline views from the Wales Coast Path and the many coves, beaches and headlands that define this lesser known corner of Wales. For lovers of wildlife and the natural environment, the unspoilt coastline, secluded coves and coastal waters provide home to dolphins, seals, and sea birds. Watching dolphins from the harbour wall in New Quay is a real treat for our guests. The site of a hovering Red Kite overhead is a regular experience.
